“The sky is the limit”

An interview with Anne Cassart, Business Development Director at Jansen Cleanrooms & Labs

Jansen Cleanrooms & Labs has just announced its first international partnership, joining forces with Turkey-based Altınbölme to bring advanced cleanroom solutions to the Middle East. This milestone collaboration marks a significant step in Jansen’s global expansion, combining Belgian engineering excellence with Turkish market expertise and ambition.

We sat down with Anne Cassart, Business Development Director at Group Jansen, fresh from the partnership launch in Turkey, to discuss how this exciting venture came together, what it means for both companies, and why sometimes the best business opportunities happen when you meet the right people at the right moment.

Tell us about Altınbölme and how this partnership came together.

Anne Cassart: “Altınbölme is a privately-owned, family-run company based in Turkey, with operations across the Middle East, including Libya, Iraq, Kuwait, and Azerbaijan. This partnership came together quite naturally, thanks to a strong alignment in our goals, values, and shared commitment to delivering high-quality projects.

What immediately struck us was how similarly our two companies operate — both are guided by a strong sense of responsibility, entrepreneurial leadership, and a relentless focus on quality. Like Altınbölme, Group Jansen is a fast-growing company with deep family roots. That created a natural connection between us — even down to small details like the surprising similarities in our logos.

The collaboration has been developing fluidly and organically, as we quickly recognized how complementary our approaches are. Through this partnership, Altınbölme can now offer integrated solutions for the hospital sector — including surgical operating rooms and hospital pharmacies — as well as cleanrooms and laboratories in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and industrial sectors.

They will leverage their project execution capabilities to integrate our modular cleanroom solutions, which perfectly complement their existing offering of traditional modular systems. The partnership specifically targets ambitious hospital construction projects in the region.

This collaboration strengthens both our positions, anchored in a shared vision and a common ambition for sustainable growth in critical environments.”

What makes this partnership such a significant milestone for Group Jansen?

This is Group Jansen’s first international partnership dedicated to our cleanroom products — a major step forward that opens the door to scaling our in-house product line globally.

During our visit to Bursa, we had the opportunity to visit hospitals, a Swissôtel project, and Altınbölme’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. The launch event was truly memorable, with warm, heartfelt speeches from their CEO Aydin and key team members like Sefer and İremhan. There was genuine excitement and mutual respect on both sides.

We are proud of this milestone, which marks the real beginning of our international expansion. While other opportunities are progressing in India, Africa, and beyond, this partnership with Altınbölme is the first formal step in a broader global journey that we’re eager to pursue.

What’s the next phase of this partnership?

The next steps are already well defined, with a structured training program planned both in Belgium and on site. These sessions will focus on system architecture and installation principles to ensure full alignment with our quality, performance, and precision standards.

They will also cover key regulatory requirements, especially GMP and ISO 14644 cleanliness classifications, to guarantee full compliance with international standards on every project.

This knowledge transfer will enable smooth integration on site and fast deployment of Group Jansen solutions across all Altınbölme-led projects. The goal is clear: ensure flawless local execution, fully in line with our clients’ expectations and Group Jansen’s reputation for excellence.

Why is now the right time for Group Jansen to expand internationally?

The development of our cleanroom product line is directly linked to our international strategy. Promoting innovative, Belgian-designed and manufactured solutions abroad is a natural extension of Jansen’s growth ambitions.

Over the past year, we’ve focused on creating modular, flexible, and high-quality systems, built on our technical expertise and client feedback.

Modularity, adaptability, and high-quality standards are the foundation of these solutions — designed to support our clients in achieving certification and meeting the most rigorous regulatory demands. With this strong foundation in place, we’re ready to expand with trusted partners like Altınbölme.

Was this partnership the result of strategic planning, or did it happen more organically?

This partnership is clearly part of our international growth strategy. Istanbul is a vibrant, highly connected city at the crossroads of global business networks. It was naturally a priority market for us.

When the opportunity to meet Altınbölme arose, we saw strong potential immediately. The conversations flowed naturally — our visions, values, and capabilities were perfectly aligned. So while it was a strategic move, it also felt like a very natural fit.

Can Group Jansen learn something from Altınbölme as well?

Absolutely. Even though our product lines differ, Altınbölme brings deep experience in managing large-scale international projects in diverse cultural contexts. That’s valuable insight for us — learning how to drive ambitious projects while navigating different local expectations.

Their team may also inspire product innovations we haven’t yet considered. They might say, “We need this type of adaptation for our regional market,” which could influence our future development roadmap. It’s clearly a two-way learning experience.

Any final reflections from your visit to Turkey?

Istanbul left a lasting impression on all of us. The energy, the hospitality, the collaborative spirit—it all reinforced that this is absolutely the right place for Group Jansen to establish our international presence.

We often say internally that “Group Jansen is the place to be”—and now Turkey has become a new kind of “place to be” for us. The good vibes of Istanbul made us want to return as quickly as possible to start building something great together.

As we like to say: the sky is the limit. We can’t wait to go back and reach for the stars with our partners at Altınbölme.
